November 11, 2019 — Cupertino, Calif. — Touch-A-Life Foundation, a non-profit organization to support the needy and underprivileged, today announced a strategic partnership with Minds, Inc., the leading crypto-social network, to enable cryptocurrency-based donations on the TALGiving platform. As part of the initiative, Minds CEO Bill Ottman will join the Touch-A-Life Foundation as a board director.
Minds is also announcing its corporate sponsorship to Touch-A-Life Annual Day 2019, a fundraising gala event open to the public that benefits local people in need, taking place Friday, November 15, 2019, from 5pm to 10pm at the India Community Center, 525 Los Coches St. Milpitas, CA, 95035.
TALGiving is a mobile-first social application for iOS and Android devices that will make it easier to facilitate donations between donor and donees, using blockchain and AI technologies. The Minds-Touch-A-Life partnership will allow users of Minds.com to donate directly to specific TALGiving causes—such as education, clothing, food, medical assistance, or shelter—using Ethereum and Bitcoin cryptocurrencies on the Minds Pro platform. TALGiving and the Minds Pro integration will be unveiled at TAL Annual Day 2019, with an initial rollout across the greater San Francisco Bay Area.
“A huge part of our mission at Minds is putting the people first. With blockchain technology as the backbone of our platform, it makes perfect sense to partner with nonprofits like Touch-A-Life to support the cause through our community of open-minded individuals,” said Bill Ottman, CEO and Founder, Minds, Inc. “We are excited to work with Tej and the Touch-A-Life team, and look forward to showcasing what we have planned together at the Touch-A-Life Annual Day.”
“Our partnership with Minds will make it easier for anyone to contribute towards causes that benefit people in need—and from anywhere in the world, thanks to the decentralized nature of cryptocurrency and the blockchain,” said Tej Gundavelli, Founder & CEO, Touch-A-Life Foundation.
TAL Annual Day 2019 will also recognize Touch-A-Life 2019 Heroes and provide updates on the annual activities of 2019. Entertainment will be provided by Bollywood musicians Sunitha, Deepu and Prudhvi Chandra, in addition to several other local artists.
